High school mobilizations, police repression, and criticisms of Mediapart's methods

Institutions and democracy

The management of high school protests demonstrates a global drift of the rule of law according to Mediapart. PaduTeam claims that democracy has been abolished under Emmanuel Macron and that only power struggles are effective. Conversely, in a video by ClemovitchReplay, a speaker argues that a party fascinated by violence is attempting to organize an insurrection. The current power is establishing a totalitarianism through social fragmentation orchestrated by the media, according to OMERTA. Finally, La Sanction considers Emmanuel Macron's management in France to be a catastrophe.

Security and justice

The police are exercising disproportionate and brutal violence against high school students according to ClemovitchReplay. Paroles D'Honneur argues that the State is waging war against youth by illegally using offensive grenades. Conversely, Psyhodelik claims that the high school movement is mostly violent and that the use of force is necessary to restore order. VA Plus reports that anti-police hatred is now expressed in classrooms. LE LAPIN DU FUTUR believes that suburb riots result from a convergence between delinquency and jihadist ideology.

Education and culture

High school students are mobilizing to demand better educational conditions according to Histoires Crépues. Psyhodelik adds that the mobilization aims to obtain more teachers and the abolition of Parcoursup, while claiming that students are subject to sectarian indoctrination. ClemovitchReplay considers the dialogue platform for high school students to be a manipulative maneuver. Regarding the university, Frontières reports that the administration refused entry to students wanting to attend classes during a blockade at the Sorbonne.

Media and information

Mediapart is spreading fake news to slander its targets, notably by distorting remarks about Jordan Bardella according to Psyhodelik. La Sanction considers the media's investigation methods regarding Jordan Bardella's youth to be unacceptable. However, Mediapart argues that the Rassemblement National seeks to discredit the media to avoid addressing the core issues. Finally, Vincent Lapierre claims he was prevented from accessing a protest because he belongs to a right-wing media outlet.

Equality and discrimination

National priority for housing access is a xenophobic and racist measure according to Clément Viktorovitch. Paroles D'Honneur argues that there is a differentiated judicial and police treatment between high schools in city centers and those in suburbs. Conversely, Psyhodelik claims that the only racism existing in the suburbs is anti-white racism.

Identity and nation

The urban planning of housing projects and the influence of anti-French rap have created a gap with civil society according to LE LAPIN DU FUTUR. La Sanction believes that Europeans neglect security and identity issues, protesting only when their purchasing power is affected. Histoires Crépues claims that the image of diverse high school students singing the Marseillaise contradicts clichés about the lack of patriotism among youth.

How the arguments are drawn

The theme’s political sentences are drawn at random by period, with quotas per orientation and a cap per channel and per video. Our local model reads the sentences without knowing their channel or orientation, groups those making the same argument, separates those reporting it in order to contest it and sets aside those off the theme. Orientation shares and quotes come from the sentences, never from the model. The last seven days are read again every day.
