A series
The weight of a theme or a public figure over time, by orientation or by country, on an equal footing (mean share per video).
table · chartFour ways to work with the base: explore it, track a theme, ask for an analysis, contribute.
Transcripts, classified sentences and comments are not published on this site. The explorer opens them to research projects, with a personal key and an access tier.
You follow a subject: we measure where it appears in the political videos, month by month and country by country, who talks about it, with which arguments, and we deliver the series, the videos and the excerpts. A live example, computed on the corpus:
Number of transcribed videos whose transcript contains the phrase, by month of publication and country of the channel (hover a column for the share of the month’s transcribed videos). Full-text search, French dictionary; a measure of presence, not of position.
Videos by channel orientation and country. This split follows corpus sizes: it says where the videos come from, not which side talks most.
What was said on the subject across the tracked channels: the videos, the public figures named, the arguments, in French and in English.
The presence of the subject month by month, by country and by orientation, on an equal footing, with its base and its limits.
The transcribed sentences that carry the subject, with the video, the channel, the date and the timestamp, to quote.
We compute the answer on the base and deliver it with the method, the base and its limits. Lead time and terms depend on the request; public research projects come first.
The weight of a theme or a public figure over time, by orientation or by country, on an equal footing (mean share per video).
table · chartTwo orientations, two countries or two periods side by side on a theme, with the gaps and how solid they are.
method noteBefore and after a date: what rises, what falls, who talks about it, with the videos and sentences that show it.
before · afterA channel’s trajectory: volumes, audience, themes, public figures named, removals, since it joined the corpus.
portraitThe transcribed sentences that carry an argument, with the video, the channel, the date and the timestamp.
quotable listEvery week, what is said on a subject across the tracked channels: records, public figures, arguments.
weekly emailA channel, its country, its orientation and what it brings to the study: that is how channels enter the corpus. Joint projects are welcome.
Its address, its country, its orientation in your view, and why it matters. The team codes it and adds it if it fits the frame.
SuggestNew themes, a new classifier, shared annotation: the method and the tools are the project’s, the reliability is published.
Propose a collaborationCross-country comparisons, courses built on the data, joint articles: the base is made to be worked on together.
The teamNo video is redistributed: the player points to the platform. The text of transcripts and comments stays under controlled access, under fair dealing for research (s. 29 of the Copyright Act), never redistributed as such nor for commercial purposes. Records that name a private person are not published.
