The explorer and the API

Four access tiers, their limits, the R and Python clients.

Explorer and API

Four access tiers

The data explorer lets you browse videos, transcripts and comments. You can filter by channel, date or classifier, and search by words or by meaning. The REST API gives access to the same tables. Both require a personal key, issued by the team with an access tier.

Metadata

metadata
100requests per day

Videos, channels, metadata history, aggregates, classifier registry, automatic summaries. Search in titles.

Analysis 1

analyst_1
500requests per day

The previous tier, plus the structure of comments, transcripts and sentences (identifiers, dates, classifier scores), with no text and no comment authors.

Analysis 2

analyst_2
2,000requests per day

The previous tier, plus the text of transcripts, speaker turns and sentences. Search in transcripts, by words or by meaning.

Research

researcher
10,000requests per day

All the data, including the text of comments and their authors’ pseudonyms, corpus exports and embeddings.

These are the default limits for a new key. The team can adjust them for a project. Every call counts as a request, including searches and exports. Calls that read transcripts, speaker turns, sentences or embeddings also count as transcript requests. A dash means there is no separate limit: only the request limit applies.
