An observatory of political YouTube and TikTok.
YouPol tracks more than 100 political channels and accounts in France, Quebec and the United States. Using machine-learning and artificial-intelligence methods, the observatory collects, archives and analyses the videos, what they say and the reactions they draw from the public.
Every video published by the tracked channels is transcribed, summarised and counted by our local models. This panel gathers the synthesis of the last seven days, the records to read, the themes, the public figures named, the arguments and the removals; the three countries together or one of them, as you choose.
Antisemitic writings are attributed to Jordan Bardella according to Mediapart. The elected official denies these claims. OMERTA links these remarks to Alain Soral, while Psyhodelik considers the official's defense strategy inconsistent, while noting that technical evidence based on HTML files is potentially modifiable. Histoires Crépues considers that these accusations of racism serve to fracture the French political spectrum.
The security and school situation is the subject of opposing debates. Vincent Lapierre reports a rise in delinquency and vandalism in Creuse, attributing this phenomenon to immigrants and deploring the breach of the social contract. La Sanction advocates for a regime inspired by Nayib Bukele and argues that student movements are instrumentalized by LFI. Conversely, BLAST denounces school insalubrity and analyzes riots as a response to social domination. Histoires Crépues adds that the myth of meritocracy masks material inequalities between high schools. Regarding blockades, Vincent Lapierre denounces violence that would discredit the demands, while BLAST and Le souffle de l'info link the wearing of the veil to professional discrimination. VA Plus and Boulevard Voltaire respectively mention the origin of acts and the visibility of religious celebrations in public space. Finally, Frontières reports a meeting between Sarah Knafo and citizens in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence.
On the economic and social level, Yomi Denzel considers rote learning useless in the face of AI, while Kroc Blanc considers degrees obsolete. PaduTeam claims that overexploitation makes salaried employment unbearable and criticizes the information on rights during police custody. Simultaneously, Sana Nova describes the Pink October operation as a scam, a view shared by Mediapart which sees it as marketing. Internationally, Paroles D'Honneur describes the situation in Yemen as a genocide, while OMERTA denounces a technocratic coup during the sale of Alstom and alleges a false flag operation in Kramatorsk.
The 2026 Quebec elections provoke various analyses. Actualité Politique Du Québec reports the PQ's proposals on freezing elected officials' salaries and lowering gas taxes, as well as PLQ criticisms regarding Éric Duhaime's alleged use of AI. Theovox tv considers the PQ's minority government fragile and links the rise of the PCQ to the rejection of progressivism. NLB - FreedomNews reports that the CAQ compares the PCQ to Donald Trump and suggests that free Bixi bikes would benefit Québec solidaire. For his part, the Président De L'Association De L’Union-Nationale denounces a formal notice from Élections Québec, which he describes as an abusive recourse that caused the onset of cancer.
Immigration and health are also central to discussions. NLB - FreedomNews claims that immigration aims to influence votes and attributes the economic collapse to liberal migration policy. Actualité Politique Du Québec reports an exchange justifying the term "fake refugees" by a request acceptance rate of 63%. Maxime Ouimet advocates for the relocation of companies to the United States, considering that Quebec is no longer viable for families. On the health front, Hugo Lecavalier notes that parties prioritize prevention, although this approach may be perceived as a control tool. Actualité Politique Du Québec alleges that Health Canada's independence is compromised by the CropLife lobby.
The impact of technology and customs is evolving. Maxime Ouimet argues that AI will enrich elites, while Daniel Pilon Chroniqueur Libre-Penseur fears it will escape human control. NLB - FreedomNews describes Emmanuel Macron as a "pathological liar" regarding Brexit. Socially, Camron Diffusion claims that female celibacy is a choice as women target the top tier, while Le Verbe médias explains the decline in sexual activity among Generation Z by anxiety and financial obstacles, while noting that married and practicing couples have a more satisfying sex life. Finally, Action Vitale considers that evidence of American interference in Quebec elections is weak.
In the United States, Donald Trump's financial promises, notably the granting of 5,000 dollars to adult citizens, are contested. Brian Tyler Cohen calls them a "bribe" and MeidasTouch considers them lying and inflationary. MeidasTouch also alleges Russian funding of the White House ballroom and mentions Trump's cognitive decline. On the economy, Brian Tyler Cohen links the slowdown to Trump's tariffs, while Ben Shapiro attributes inflation to state interventionism and criticizes France's excessive welfare state. Legal AF reports a mobilization for vote protection, claiming that Trump and the Republicans will attempt to interfere with the ballot.
International tensions occupy a major place. PowerfulJRE denounces the injustice in Gaza and American funding of Israel. Ben Shapiro reports an attempted hijacking of a flight to Tel Aviv and argues that Iran uses terrorism to push the United States toward surrender. Xaviaer describes this attack on the Flydubai flight as an act of terrorism. Breaking Points claims that the Pentagon lied about a bombed site in Minab to cover up a war crime. Finally, tuckercarlson claims that the Treaty of Versailles justified Hitler's invasion of Poland.
The cultural sphere is also politicized. Harryjsisson considers Zach Bryan's wearing of a pro-Palestinian t-shirt an affront to Robert Kraft and describes some country artists as "brainwashed liberal snowflakes." Hasan Piker claims that American foreign policy has destabilized the world and argues that some Democrats are attempting to manipulate opinion to make people hate him. Ben Shapiro, moreover, contests the validity of a collective rape complaint at Cornell University.
The 2026 Quebec elections result in the election of a minority government of the Parti Québécois. On the channel Theovox tv (extreme right), speakers analyze the rise of the Conservative Party of Quebec, which they attribute to the media skill of Éric Duhaime and a rejection of progressivism. Discussions also focus on the management of the CAQ, criticized for its public spending and communication errors by Christine Fréchette. Regarding societal issues, a speaker on Theovox tv argues that mass immigration is part of a "globalist plan" to destabilize the West and advocates for a mixed healthcare system to reduce inefficiency and waiting times.
In the United States, Donald Trump claims during a speech in Nebraska that fuel prices are artificial and promises 5,000 dollar checks to citizens if Republicans win. He also describes the Obamacare system as a "total fraud." The channel MeidasTouch (left) disputes these claims, accusing Donald Trump of lying about his economic and diplomatic record. Citing the CEO of Aramco, MeidasTouch argues that the fuel price crisis will not be resolved before 2029, despite the end of the current conflict.
At the same time, a legal challenge is brought before the Supreme Court regarding the mandatory and indefinite detention of undocumented immigrants. MeidasTouch claims that the Trump administration reinterpreted the Immigration and Nationality Act to eliminate bond hearings. The video creator argues that this system is driven by the profits of private prisons, which allegedly exhibit medical negligence. According to MeidasTouch, this migration policy is based on a "fascist" ideology aimed at making America white and criminalizing asylum protected under international law.
Topics of the claims in 401 records: Institutions and democracy (19%), Economy and labour (14%), Security and justice (12%), Education and culture (9%).

Antisemitic and conspiracy-theory writings are attributed to Jordan Bardella according to Mediapart, Clément Viktorovitch, BLAST, and Paroles D'Honneur. The elected official denies this information, describing it as a machination or crude forgeries. These accusations are rejected by the channels Psyhodelik, La Sanction, and Kroc Blanc - FDENEWS, while OMERTA links these remarks to the influence of Alain Soral. Simultaneously, ClemovitchReplay asserts that Jordan Bardella maintained links with Alain Soral and held antisemitic views, viewing the 'dediabolization' of the Rassemblement National as a storefront to normalize its core ideology. Jean Massiet Replay believes, however, that these revelations will not harm Marine Le Pen's candidacy.
The lack of resources and school insalubrity are denounced by BLAST, Le souffle de l'info, Histoires Crépues, and Paroles D'Honneur. Zawa Prod adds that overcrowding in high schools results from liberal and Macronist policies, specifying that suburban schools suffer from racial suspicion. Conversely, OMERTA, La Sanction, Teddyboy RSA, and Nicolas Faure - Sunrise argue that these movements are instrumentalized by LFI. Regarding universities, Bally Bagayoko deplores the lack of places, while OMERTA alleges a privilege for students from immigrant backgrounds on Parcoursup.

Les films à l'arrache discusses the refusal of the Goncourt prize to a Haitian author, seeing it as systemic racism. Finally, Frontières reports a meeting between Sarah Knafo and individuals in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence.
The National Rally is accused of using intimidation strategies to push journalists toward self-censorship. According to the channel Mediapart, which is left-wing, Marine Le Pen and Jordan Bardella employ these methods at the National Assembly. Mediapart also reports that Mayor Christophe Barthès targets journalists from the newspaper L'Indépendant to block their investigations. In response, a speaker cited by Mediapart claims that a far-left medium is waging a "total war" using unfair means to prevent a victory in the presidential election.
At the same time, the channel OMERTA, which is far-right, denounces Emmanuel Macron's contempt for the people, claiming he uses cognitive science techniques for his campaigns. OMERTA's speakers describe a state of "stupefaction" and "mistreatment" of the French population, citing the management of the Covid crisis and the alleged use of hooded provocateurs during protests against Parcoursup. They describe the establishment of "totalitarianism" and advocate for disobedience and a return to "natural laws," specifically regarding the existence of two sexes.

On the political level, Actualité Politique Du Québec reports that Paul-Saint-Pierre Plamondon criticized Éric Duhaime's use of AI to write his book.
Canada's economic situation is questioned by several parties. Maxime Ouimet advocates for the relocation of companies to the United States, claiming that Canada is no longer viable, while NLB - FreedomNews attributes the decline of Quebec entrepreneurs to taxation and "leftist mentalities." She asserts that her party broke the historical alternation between the Liberal Party and the Parti Québécois through a "third way" combining the affirmation of national identity and economic prosperity.

Each channel is chosen and coded by the team. It gets an orientation, a country and a language. The far right is deliberately over-represented, to study it closely. The English-language corpus was extended in October 2026. Its videos are transcribed and summarised, and its classifiers will soon be trained and deployed.
Six methods, run on the project’s computers, each documented with its models, thresholds and reliability. Pick a step.
The channels’ RSS feeds are read every six hours; every week their full list of videos is reread. A detected video enters the queue with its date; those of the last seven days go ahead of everything else.
The video, its metadata and its comments are extracted; the audience is measured again at day 1, 7 and 30. A removal is recorded with its reason when the platform gives one, and a transcribed video keeps its record.
The voice is isolated from the music (Demucs), speakers told apart without being identified (pyannote), then Whisper transcribes each speaking turn in the spoken language, detected by windows. Turns are cut into sentences (SaT).
Each sentence is classified as political or not by a classifier trained on human annotations, then assigned to nine themes by nine binary classifiers. Their reliability (F1, checked precision) is published.
The public figures, parties, organisations, media and countries of a closed list are recognised in the sentences by checked patterns and counted video by video. A private person named in a video is never counted.
A local language model writes for each video of the week a record in French and English. It gives the title, the summary, the claims and their speakers, the public figures named. The record is checked against the transcript; a name that could be a private person’s holds it back. The records feed the week’s synthesis and the arguments by theme.
